Best Practices

  • Use a dedicated restricted API key for ClearSync
  • Regularly review and rotate API keys
  • Monitor API usage in your Stripe dashboard
  • Remove access if no longer needed

Key Rotation

When rotating your API key:
  1. Create a new restricted key with the same permissions
  1. Update the key in ClearSync settings
  1. Delete the old key from Stripe
  1. Verify sync continues working
