(1) HubSpot Revenue Hub (including HubSpot Commerce & HubSpot Payments)
HubSpot’s native Revenue Hub (fka Commerce Hub) and Payments tool sounds a lot like a Stripe integration, but has some key differences:
- HubSpot Commerce/Payments uses Stripe as a payment gateway only:
- It can use Stripe to securely store payment methods (e.g. credit cards & ACH info)
- It does not use Stripe as the source of truth for Subscription data — there are no Stripe Subscription records, invoices, etc. once you’re using HubSpot Revenue Hub with Stripe Payments.
- HubSpot can import some of your existing historical Stripe data into HubSpot Revenue Hub
- Importing your existing Stripe data into HubSpot has some important caveats that often means importing an incomplete data set.
- When doing the import, you’re not just syncing history, but are migrating to HubSpot Revenue Hub as your source of truth for subscription management, away from Stripe.
- You might elect to continue using Stripe for payment processing, but you will no longer be able to leverage Stripe’s API to manage your subscriptions and integrate with your product. Instead you’ll need to switch to HubSpot’s APIs for subscription management.

- You can map to Contacts, but not HubSpot Companies
- You can sync Stripe Invoices & Products with HubSpot Invoices & Products, but without key revenue information that makes the records useful.
- You can’t sync Stripe Subscriptions & Payments to HubSpot native Subscription & Payment objects (you’d have to use custom objects requiring HubSpot Enterprise, and even then, won’t have access to the data you need to power critical reporting and automations).
